Tagpresto is an app for display equipped Honeywell Intermec label printers. The app runs on label printers with support for Smart Printing.
This means you don’t need to use a computer just to print labels. This also means reduced costs, space savings and time savings due to all the hassle a computer can cause.
Data can be inputted via a connected standard USB keyboard or barcode scanner. Of course, wireless keyboards and scanners that utilize a USB transmitter/receiver device will also work seamlessly. This data input method is used when filling in variable fields, as well as specifying the desired number of prints. With a barcode scanner, you can scan all variable data (from barcodes/QR codes), which can then be used as input.

Tagpresto is an app that can be run directly in a label printer. Just like an app can run on a mobile phone.
The app means that you don’t have to connect the label printer to a computer, just to be able to print labels. The app is the printing software itself. You just print your labels, from a USB device, that you have pre-designed on your computer before. A label design software is usually included with the label printer.
You can create the labels on a computer. Most Honeywell Intermec printers comes with a software for Windows where you can create your labels. These are compatible with Tagpresto.

Lite is completely free of charge and can freely be used privately or commercially. The Lite version has a number of limitations compared to the Pro version. For example, only three labels can be printed at the same time. QR, barcodes and graphics cannot be printed. Lite only allows one variable field (value) per label and lacks the reprint feature. Additionally, Lite will only display three labels in each folder on a USB drive. However, you can distribute labels in several folders and/or on several USB devices to access more labels. The Lite version also has a small watermark on each label print, in the lower right corner, with the text – By Tagpresto.com.

No, the only additional items you might need are a standard USB keyboard or optionally a USB barcode scanner. These devices allow you to enter any variable values (if you designed your labels to require them) and to specify the number of prints. Both the keyboard and the barcode scanner can be wireless, provided they use a USB transmitter/receiver.
Yes. However, both USB stick and USB hard drive must be formatted in FAT32 format. This can be done in both Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
No. Tagpresto currently does not use ethernet connections at all.

Yes. If you have, or acquire, a battery for your label printer, you are not dependent on a fixed power source. With a wireless USB keyboard, your setup also becomes completely cord-free.
